Novilla and Hanherry Sofa Comparison
Shape and Size
The Novilla 104" Modular Cloud Couch is a large L-shaped sectional with an overall width of 104 inches. This configuration creates a spacious layout ideal for open living rooms or apartments where you need ample seating area. In contrast, the Hanherry 47" Chenille Loveseat is a compact, straight two-seater with a width of 47 inches and a depth of 30 inches. Its smaller footprint makes it suitable for tight spaces, bedrooms, or dormitories. You should choose the Novilla if you need a dominant piece for a large room, or the Hanherry if space is limited and you prefer a modest seating option.
Seating Capacity
Seating capacity is a key differentiator between these two options. The Novilla sectional is rated as a five-seater, designed to accommodate multiple people comfortably. Its modular design allows you to connect seats and an ottoman to create a flexible arrangement that fits five individuals. The Hanherry loveseat, however, is explicitly a two-seater. It provides seating for only two people, making it better for couples or small households. If you frequently host guests or have a larger family, the Novilla offers significantly more capacity. For solo use or a couple, the Hanherry is sufficient.
Support System
The internal support structures differ notably. The Novilla features SmartS Coil pocket springs that adapt independently to your weight and movement. This system aims to prevent excessive sinking and provides sturdy support beneath the plush foam, helping you get up easily. The Hanherry uses high-density sponge cushions with a sturdy solid wood frame. It supports up to 650 lbs, ensuring stability for two people. While the Hanherry relies on dense foam and wood for firmness, the Novilla combines foam with coil springs for a responsive feel. You might prefer the coil support for better lift, or the foam-and-wood build for a firmer, more traditional seat.
Assembly and Setup
Setup experience varies between the two products. The Novilla arrives in compressed parcels that require no assembly. You simply unbox, unroll, and let it expand to its full size, which may take up to 72 hours for full fluffing. This is convenient for renters who need to move items through narrow doors. The Hanherry does not mention a no-assembly compressed format, implying it may arrive fully assembled or require minimal setup. Both options avoid complex tools, but the Novilla’s zero-assembly design is a distinct advantage for quick, hassle-free installation. If you want immediate use without waiting for expansion, the Hanherry might be quicker, though the data is less specific.
Material and Maintenance
Both sofas use chenille upholstery, offering a soft, velvety texture. The Novilla highlights its chenille fabric for being breathable, resistant to pilling and pet hair, and easy to clean with a damp cloth. The Hanherry also uses premium chenille, describing it as durable, breathable, and cozy like touching a furry pet. Both materials are suitable for year-round comfort and resist wear. Since both rely on the same fabric type, maintenance expectations are similar. You will need to wipe both surfaces to keep them fresh. The choice here depends more on the other features, as the material quality and care requirements are comparable.
Weight and Dimensions
Physical dimensions and weight affect placement and mobility. The Novilla weighs 50.7 pounds and stands 26.4 inches high. Its lower profile and modular nature make it easier to reconfigure. The Hanherry is heavier at 56.4 pounds and taller at 37.5 inches, with a deeper seat at 30 inches. The higher backrest of the Hanherry provides more back support, while the Novilla’s lower height offers a more modern, grounded look. The Novilla’s lighter weight and modular design allow for easier rearrangement. The Hanherry’s sturdier, heavier build may feel more permanent. You should consider your room’s height and how often you plan to move the furniture.
Which sectional fits your space
You need ample seating for a large room
This Novilla model measures 104 inches wide and seats five people comfortably. Its modular L-shape design adapts to your layout, allowing you to connect the ottoman or reconfigure the pieces as needed. You have a small apartment or bedroom
The Hanherry loveseat is only 47 inches wide, fitting easily into tight spaces like dorms or cozy living nooks. It offers a sturdy solid wood frame with a 650-pound weight capacity. The 37.5-inch height and tufted back cushion provide good support for two people without overwhelming a compact room, ensuring the sofa remains a functional addition.
